Margarita Artiukhova

Margarita graduated from Sechenov University with Bachelors of Science with Honors in bioengineering and bioinformatics. During her college years she did research in several great labs in Russia, USA, Switzerland and China, and even worked in a venture capital firm. As part of her undergraduate research experience, she explored ways to replace and regenerate neural circuits following brain trauma, studied cell death processes underlying various disease states, and published several research manuscripts. At Caltech she is looking forward to combining sets of multidisciplinary approaches to develop tools capable of revealing fundamental mechanisms underlying complex brain processes on all levels.
