Noah Okada

Noah’s research interest lies at the intersection of computer science and cognitive neuroscience, he is interested in leveraging advances in AI/ML and VR technologies to develop tools that help to characterize the circuits that mediate emotional and cognitive processes. He completed his bachelor’s degrees in Neuroscience & Behavioral Biology (BS) and Computer Science (BA) from Emory University. Noah’s undergraduate thesis was focused on the development of experiments to investigate the neural correlates of familiarity memory and deja vu experiences using virtual reality and sEEG. He has also worked on projects that focus on improving ecological validity in cognitive assessments by developing cognitive tasks that can be deployed via modern game engines to replicate naturalistic environments.
