Ruoxi Wang

Ruoxi is interested in understanding the neural systems and computations that enable and underlie information processing in the brain, using data-driven dynamical models. She received a B.S. degree in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego. At UCSD, she worked in Dr. Douglas Nitz’s lab and investigated the mechanisms that underlie the response to self-motion and the integration of sensorimotor information in the posterior parietal cortex. After graduation, she worked as a research assistant in Dr. Hollis Cline’s lab at the Scripps Research Institute, where she explored activity-induced protein synthesis and synaptic plasticity. In her free time, Ruoxi enjoys hiking, photography, and traveling.
