Yingxi Jin

Yingxi is interested in combining theoretical and experimental approaches to study the mechanisms of neural coding, network dynamics, and how brain circuits give birth to cognition. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from New York University, with a major in Neuroscience and minors in Mathematics and Computer Science. At NYU, she worked in the lab of Professor György Buzsáki, investigating the physiological and representational heterogeneity along the longitudinal axis of the hippocampus with both experimental and computational modeling perspectives. During her summer research at UCLA, she worked on understanding the underlying mechanisms of therapeutic effects brought by neuromodulations. Outside of research, she enjoys skiing, traveling, and exploring the city.
