SCIENCE | TCCI® Conference: Neuromodulation and Brain-Machine Interface

Due to the complexity of the human brain, any intervention intended to alleviate a deficit or improve brain function must be done in a highly specific and selective way.

We are presently witnessing an explosion of new techniques and methods that will push this field forward as never before. Neuromodulation, for example, is the alteration of nerve activity through delivery of electrical stimulation or chemical agents to specific sites in the brain or body. Even more exciting are recent developments in brain computer interfaces being driven by the integration of biotechnology and information.

Join us for an annual conference focused on the most recent breakthroughs in these areas of cutting-edge research and presented by the Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute and SCIENCE magazine. On the first day we will discuss recent progress in neuromodulation and on the second we will concentrate on the closely related brain-machine interface.
